The World Luge Championship has been moved from Whistler in Canada to Koenigssee in Germany, according to the website of the International Luge Federation. The FIL Executive Committee made this decision in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. The competition will be held on January 29-31. Earlier, FIL announced that the World Cup would not be held in Canada due to continuing restrictions on international communications in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic.
